Family court

Built for family court.

When your case is in court, every message can matter. Keep them neutral, written and dated.

Why writing wins

One call. Two memories.
Writing ends that.

Many parenting orders require written communication. Some name an app. A shared written thread keeps the kids out of the middle and the facts straight.

Complete

The whole thread, in order.

Dated

Every message carries its time.

Unaltered

No quiet edits after the fact.

Child-focused

Schedules, school, health, costs.

Calm

Short and factual reads well.

Exportable

A clean copy, ready to share.

High conflict

Five rules for every message.

01

One topic

Short, one subject.

02

Facts

Date, time, place.

03

Skip the bait

Answer only the kid question.

04

No messengers

Never through the kids.

05

Judge-ready

Write as if a judge will read it.

Limits

What it is not.

  • Not a law firm. No legal advice.
  • Not court approved. Follow your order if it names an app.
  • No promised outcome. Judges decide under your state's law.
  • Pattern tools are a review aid, not a diagnosis, a finding about intent or proof of misconduct.
  • Not an emergency line. In danger, call 911.
Attorneys, mediators, guardians ad litem: an exported record gives you one dated copy instead of a stack of screenshots. Attorney plans

Questions.

Can a judge order us to use an app?
In many states, yes. Some orders only require written communication. Others name a specific app. Read your order, and ask an attorney or your court's self-help center if it is unclear.
Our order names a different app.
Follow your order. Changing it usually takes a court-approved agreement or a new order.
Will this help me win custody?
No app can promise a result. Judges decide based on the child's best interests under your state's law. A clear record makes it easier to show what was said.
Can my attorney see the messages?
You can export a copy for your attorney, a mediator or a guardian ad litem. The other parent has the same thread, and a court can order records produced.
